Our days have been full steam ahead, We have established routines that make the variety of "games" and "activities" all the more fun. We've learned how to work cooperatively and share. This month our Habit is BEING PROACTIVE. We're practicing being in charge of the choices we make and demonstrating responsibility. We're learning how to be kind when sharing our opinions. We're practicing working hard before playing hard.
This week we'll have covered Letter Names A - P. Please take a look at the flashcards daily to help your child recognize the letters. In 3 short weeks we will begin letter sounds and sight words and the beginning of reading. We have been practicing those letters with playdough, paintbrushes, crayons, manipulatives, and iPads. Please use the paper included in your homework folder to rainbow write the letters every day. Encourage your child to start letters at the top - ask them to show you. Thank you to the families who sent water bottles in for the kids who forget theirs. Please try to send in a refillable bottle each day with your child. We have a refilling station in the cafeteria that the kids like to use. Also, thank you for the headphones that have been sent it. Please make sure yours is NOT bluetooth or rechargeable. We just use the plain, plug in the iPad kind. |
