The kids are continuing to do a great job transitioning to our classroom routines. I did notice an increase in masks falling below noses today, though. Please make sure that your child's mask fits snugly before you drop him or her off. Many need to be tied off behind the ears if they are not adjustable. The children are surprisingly aware of and try to keep their masks on correctly all day. Also, I would really appreciate it if you could double knot your child's shoelaces each morning. Some of the cord types just untie repeatedly but every little knot helps. :) Also, if you have not sent in a set of headphones, please do so at your earlier convenience.
This Friday we are inviting the students to dress up. My class is invited to wear a Halloween costume OR pajamas. Please remember: * no scary or bloody costumes * no costume masks * no makeup or costume accessories (swords, bags, brooms, etc) I encourage wearing pajamas so they do not lose any parts of their costumes and pajamas are usually much more comfortable to wear all day. Parents will not be invited this year and we will not share any food treats. However, I have a fun rotation of arts, crafts, and games planned. I will email photos Friday afternoon. Finally, thank you so much for the gift cards, messages, stickers, playdoh, flowers, hand sanitizer, wipes, and positivity that filled our return last week. It was all very much appreciated! |
