This week we are learning how to write letters Ff, Gg, Hh, Ii, and Jj. We are also working on number 2 and the color yellow. The students continue to gain finger strength and are getting consistent with writing names and labels. Please continue offering cutting with scissor opportunities at home.
This week's homework includes a flashcards that can be cut apart and kept at home. An updated set will be sent home each monday so feel free to throw them away at the end of the week. As your child masters the letters and eventually words, you will see different flashcards. This week your child should focus on reviewing A, B, C, D, E as we learned those last week. If your child does not have many flashcards that means that he or she can already tell me the names of the letters! I encourage you to have your child say, write, and use in a word the letters in addition to just reciting them.
